The Threepenny Opera at The Bute Theatre, Cardiff Dec 2005. Set around the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the play was set in an inescapable underworld of smog and machinery, infused with the smell of iron smeltings. Modern equipment such as a supermarket cage for the jail added an anachronistic layer to the play within the play.
